ENROLLEMENT FAQ

*Our enrollment process is online. You must first submit an online enrollment application for review before your student(s) can be enrolled. Please click the button above for the school system you would like. If you do not have access to a digital device, please come to our district office for assistance.

**Submission of an enrollment application is not a guarantee of enrollment. Invitations to attend Riverside Preparatory School will be via phone call.

The Enrollment Center is located at 19900 National Trails Highway, Oro Grande, CA 92368. For more information please call (760) 243-5884 ext. 100.

Riverside Preparatory School has a limited number of spaces available for students. A lottery is conducted to determine the order in which an invitation to attend will be extended when spaces are available which are less than the number of students on the waiting list for any given grade level. TK & Kindergarten students for each year are accepted on a “first come” basis until classes are full. The School encourages parents to register for TK and/or Kindergarten as early as possible. Some parents are registering their children for TK & Kindergarten as early as five years in advance!

To be placed on the waiting list and eligible for the lottery a student must have a completed application packet on file with the school.

The Enrollment Lottery for Riverside Prep for the 2024-2025 school year was conducted during the April Riverside Prep School Board Meeting. Invitations to attend Riverside Prep will begin over the summer. If you have any questions, please email [email protected]. For Mojave River Academy enrollment questions, please email [email protected].

  • A Parent/Legal Guardian will need to complete and submit an enrollment application
  • A copy of the students birth certificate
  • A copy of the student's immunization
  • Verification of address
  • If the child is on an IEP (Individual Education Plan) from Special Education Services we will need a copy of that as well.
  • For high school students (grades 10-12), a copy of their last semester unofficial transcript from their current/previous school.

Parents and guardians of all enrolled and prospective students have the option to enroll their child in in-person instruction or Independent Study (IS) during the 2024–25 school year.

Parents and guardians have the right to request a student-parent-educator conference meeting before the signing of the independent study written agreement and enrollment. Before signing a written agreement and upon the request of the parent or guardian, the District shall conduct a phone, video conference, or in-person student-parent-educator conference or other school meeting. During which, the student, parent, guardian, or (by student/parent request) an education advocate, may ask questions about available educational options (e.g. curriculum offerings, nonacademic supports) that will be available in independent study before making a decision about enrollment or dis-enrollment in the various options for learning.

Independent Study will operate on an instructional model based upon at least once-a-week, in-person appointments with a credentialed teacher for each student. Students will have both synchronous and asynchronous instructional time as part of the program. Additionally, students in the Independent Study will be able to participate in a variety of on-campus visual and performing arts classes, after-school programs, college courses, and athletics.
